THRIVE: Volunteering

Giving back through volunteering is an important endeavor at Mountain Meadows, and our residents have developed a variety of opportunities to share their life experiences within our own community and more broadly in the Rogue Valley.

Oregon Shakespeare Festival
At OSF, volunteers serve as ticket takers and ushers at performances and hosts in the Welcome Center. The Tudor Guild Shop at OSF offers volunteer opportunities in areas such as customer service, cashiering, theater kiosks and brass rubbing, with proceeds going to support the Festival.

Service Clubs
A number of Mountain Meadows residents are members of local service clubs such as Rotary, Kiwanis, Elks and Lions, giving back to the community through their activities.

School Volunteers
There are many volunteer opportunities in local schools, such as reading and mentoring programs, and teaching classes at the North Mountain Park Nature Center. Mountain Meadows residents are active in several programs at Ashland High School, including sponsoring the robotics team, reviewing senior projects and mentoring students in the college application process.

Charitable and Philanthropic Organizations
Many charitable and philanthropic organizations provide opportunities to serve the community. Mountain Meadows residents contribute time and resources to Friends of Hospice, Wildlife Images, Friends of the Animal Shelter, Equamore Horse Sanctuary and the Ashland Emergency Food Bank, to name just a few.
