THRIVE: Fine & Casual Dining

Fine and casual dining – With the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, other artistic events and recreational activities, Ashland attracts many thousands of visitors from major cultural centers all over the world. As a consequence, the town is able to maintain a large number of top-level restaurants and craft breweries. Regional climate and soil types support a growing wine industry.

Restaurants
World-class theater attracts world-class dining, and Ashland offers over 100 excellent restaurants, ranging from fine gourmet cuisine to informal bistro food and brew pub fare.

Craft Breweries
In a state where craft breweries abound, the Rogue Valley boasts at least a dozen, with a number of popular brew pubs in the area.

Wineries
Southern Oregon, with the state’s largest warm-climate growing region, produces top quality wines that increasingly compete with the best anywhere. The area was selected in 2018 as one of the world’s 10 best regions to visit for wine tasting. Offering nearly every varietal of wine from more than 50 wineries, with five tasting rooms in Ashland, the Rogue Valley American Viticulture Area is a wine-lover’s paradise. Wine tours are available locally and tasting/picnicking visits to rural wineries are a wonderful way to spend a day.
