Mountain Meadows has no health care facilities or services on campus, but excellent health care is abundantly available in our area. The Rogue Valley is home to two major medical facilities, both with excellent ratings, and the area attracts high quality health care providers. In addition, the Rogue Valley has been a center of alternative medicine, physical therapy and health spas for over a century.
Major medical centers
The highly rated Asante Health System is the major health care provider in southern Oregon, with three hospitals and over 30 provider locations. The Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center in Medford is a 378-bed regional referral and trauma center, with a comprehensive range of specialties. The Asante Ashland Community Hospital is a 49-bed facility providing emergency services, lab work, a surgery center, diagnostic imaging and wound care.
Providence Health & Services Oregon maintains a well-regarded 168-bed acute care community hospital and care centers in Medford, providing services including emergency and urgent care, surgery, stroke care, cardiac and vascular care, total joint replacement, spine health programs and pain management.
Physicians, dentists and specialists
With major medical centers nearby, and as a desirable region in which to live, Ashland and Medford boast a wealth of physicians and surgeons in all specialties, as well as primary care physicians, optometrists and ophthalmologists, and auditory specialists. Likewise, many skilled dentists and oral surgeons practice in the area.
Additional health care options
The area offers excellent facilities and options for physical therapy. Ashland features a variety of spas for massage and other wellness therapies. The area also has a wide range of alternative medicine practitioners providing chiropractic, acupuncture, hypnotherapy, and many other forms of complementary and alternative care.
